hello all! I was hired by a company and signed the contract last 21 Dec. I have been working for a week now but I was really not happy because of the nature of the job where I was assigned and my salary is not quite fair. But since I was on a visit visa and still have no GCC experience I took the offer apart from the fear that I might have to exit to Kish for a month. ( I heard a lots of sad stories) Now, I have a better offer with another company and the position is what I really seek for. I would really like to transfer though I think it would be quite impossible for me considering the fact that they have already taken my original passport and visa. Can it still be possible? I'm also wondering where will I find the information about the status of my working visa since they told me it has been processed and I will have to pay plus I will be banned if I quit with my current job. Kindly shed some light. Your comments and kind advice will be cherished. Thank you.

Thank you for you kindly reply regarding my question. coz i have a doubt about this new law. And i read in the Gulf news that if someone did not complete limited contract 3 years they will recieve 1 year ban for breaching contract and labor law. By the way thank you for the info..

Yes, you can... there is no ban now.

I just want clarify about the new labor law.my contract visa is limited 3 years.and i already served to my company 2 years and 2 months now i want to resign and find another job..do i have a ban if i resign?can i transfer in private company?

as per the new rules of ministry of labour your passport has to be returned to you. you can leave the company without needing an noc and without any ban.

Hi Joy,
As you have already signed the contract there is nothing you can do. As the contract as per the new rule is for 2 years. I would recommend that you speak with your present employer and get an NOC to get the visa tranferred.Any further help do feel free to get in touch.
