Hi,
We've moved to a small village near Nikola Kozlevo about half an hour from Shumen/Novi Pazar and wanted to know if there are any more brits living nearby. We've been here a couple of years and not met hardly any, you must be out there somewhere?

Which village are you in? I still have a house there but not living there at the moment and there are plenty of brits in nearby villages. I don't think that we can add links on hear, are you on facebook?

Hi I am new to the site help and guidance needed. I have bought a property near Novi Pazar visiting 30-09-16 to 03-10-16 I need to set up internet, bank accounts etc and try to meet any expats locally for a chat if any one can offer any assistance or advise it would be gratefully appreciate it also any other websites/forums I may find useful.

Yes we have met quite a few brits living around the area,. The process is much more simple now, when we bought you had to set up a company, but yes the deal does go through same day, though you wait a few days I think for the documents.
Cash is quite usual here, much more dealings in cash than anything else, I assume you will have a translator with you. I know where Preselka is a very nice village, we are about 20 mins away. I did put my email address on but it appears to have been deleted. Are you on Facebook?Hi

It's good to hear that you are still there and loving it. Have you met any brits yet? We have arranged to complete in October and are hoping to stay in the house but the owners will need a few days to move out. Did you find it a simple process at the notaries office and do you complete the deal there on the same day? We are a bit nervous as the owners have now said they want cash when we sign, is this usual. Excited and hoping to fit in with the locals. I would be grateful for any tips or advice that you may have to offer.
