I'm a candian citizen and pregnant with my first child. Does anyone know how much does it cost to give birth in private hospital or clinic in Dubai? Me and my husband don't have insurance. Does anyone know a good Gyno to go to? thanks
No insurance?

Without insurance, the cost will surely be high. but normal delivery still is manageable.

Many thanks to Dr. Lubna for all her care throughout my pregnancy. She is one of the best and I really appreciate her caring & loving behavior. I would also like to thank the hospital
staff and especially the nurses for being so kind cooperative.
Costs and Suggestions

I just posted about the costs on my blog: http://blogs.angloinfo.com/bumps-babies-and-beyond/2011/02/2
4/cost-of-having-a-baby-in-dubai/If you are having a normal vaginal birth, the prices between private and government aren't that much different (Al Wasl recently raised their prices, it used to be MUCH cheaper). But if you have a cesarean, the costs differ a lot.
If you have a valid Dubai residency visa, I suggest you go to Al Wasl to get a health card. They'll assign you to a local clinic for all your prenatal appointments. Here is a link to help you get started: http://dubai.angloinfo.com/countries/uae/dubai/birth.asp
