Live in Ny

Hello everybody, my girlfriend and I had a job offer in a Ny restaurant (the period is 12 months or more, at discretion of permits and concessions),but me and my sponsor don't know how to proceed and which type of documents he has to send me. Somebody can give me info about it? thank you so much :)
